Closed for Winter Break!
Closed through March 30, 2010 for our winter vacation. Funk's Farm Market and Garden Center will reopen on March 31, 2010 for our 48th Season. We will be open 9am-6pm daily, closed Easter Sunday. Starting April 11, 2010 we will also be open Sundays 12-5 pm. Click here for our seasonal hours.

Funk's Farm Market and Garden Center will be opening four days before Easter! Featuring Easter flowers galore, Home Baked Quiche, Strawberry Rhubarb Pies and fresh tasty asparagus! Our Popular Container Gardening Class is on the Calendar!
The staff at Funk's Garden Center is ready to break out of our winter cabins and begin gardening- just like you! We are excited to show you how to mix some new, exciting plant selections with old favorites in containers that will bring your garden closer to you as you enjoy the spring weather outdoors! Gain exciting ideas of plant combinations that are safe to have outside now and what you need to know to make container gardening a successful new hobby! For a registration fee of $3 (which will be returned to attendees as store credit) we take you step by step into the joy of gardening in containers of any size! Bring your container from home or choose one from our vast selection and we can assist you with the rest (materials extra). April 17, 2010 at 10am in our Garden Center Classroom.
Vegetable Garden Planting!
Funk's Farm Market and Garden Center will open just in time for your vegetable planting needs! The end of March is the perfect time to prepare your soil, and get the garden tilled and ready to plant sugar peas, garden peas, onion sets, radishes, lettuce, carrots, beets, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, early potatoes, swiss chard, strawberry plants, asparagus roots, raspberry roots and rhubarb roots before April 15th! From April 15th until the 20th you can also add your snap beans, parsnips, early sweet corn summer squash, main crop potatoes, and parsley! You are already thinking about a late spring, fresh from the garden salad aren't you!?
